Jcb Petrol Strimmer Manual

String trimmers, also known as strimmers, use a length of monofilament line rotated at high speed to trim grass, weeds and other growth. The JCB BC-26 is a string trimmer powered by a 26cc,.9 horsepower two-stroke petrol engine. It operates at 2,800rpm at idle and 10,000rpm at maximum speed.
The BC-26 uses 2.4mm or 2.8mm (15/64 or 9/32 inch) monofilament trimming line and cuts an 45 cm (18 inch) swath. The fuel tank holds 0.25 litres (0.44 pints) of petrol/oil mixture and the BC-26 weighs 4.54 kg (10 lbs).
Is the JCB M25 strimmer petrol only or 2 stroke please. Can't find manual. Many thanks, Margaret. Posted by Margaret Gornall on Jul 30, 2017. Want Answer 1. I lost my jcb m25 strimmer manual, and not sure how much 2-stroke oil to add to the petrol. Thanks for any help given. Safety and operating manual original instructions string trimmer / brushcutter jcb-bc26 important! It is essential that you read the instructions in this manual before assembling, maintaining and operating this machine.
Fuel mixing. Shut off the engine and allow it to cool before fuelling. Mix a 50-to-1 ratio of 91 octane or higher petrol with synthetic two-stroke oil. Clean the area around the fuel filler cap of leaves and dirt and remove the cap. Fill the tank and replace the fuel cap. Starting the engine. Lay the trimmer down on a flat surface.
Turn the On/Off switch on the engine to 'On.' . Push in on the clear fuel primer bulb 10 times. Fuel should be visible in the bulb. Move the choke lever on the engine to the 'Full' setting.
Open the throttle completely by squeezing the throttle lever to its limit. Pull the starter cord until the engine starts. Let the engine warm up for 10 seconds and move the choke lever on the engine to the 'Run' setting. Stop the engine by pressing and holding the On/Off switch in the 'Off' position until the engine stops.
Trimmer operation. Grasp the trimmer by the rear handle with one hand and the front handle with the other hand. The rear handle should be held at approximately hip height. Operate the trimmer at full throttle at all times. Keep the cutting head parallel with the ground at a slightly slanted angle.

Move the head from left to right in steady strokes. Trim tall grass and weeds beginning at the top of the growth, cutting down to the desired height. String replacement. Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire.
Pull the old line out of the holes on top of the string head. Use two pre-cut strimmer lines or cut two pieces of strimmer line 27.5 cm (11 inches) in length. Insert the lengths of strimmer line into the two slots located on the side of the strimmer head. Push the line in until about one inch protrudes from the holes on top of the string head.
Reconnect the spark plug wire.

Now, look at the spool. You'll see that there are actually two spools, made together. In the middle part of each spool, you'll see a small hole.
There should also be a notch in between the two spools. Starting with the inner spool, insert your line into the hole about 1/8', and wind in the direction of the arrows. When you have wound the line to the diameter of the divider between the spools, stop. There is a very small notch on the bottom of the spools that is 180 degrees from the notch in between the spools, and at the bottom edge of the spool that you are winding. Click your line into that notch. Leave about 6' of line out past the notch, and cut it off from the pack of line that you are winding from.

Now, wind the outer spool the same way. When full, you'll guide your line thru the notch between the spools and into the small notch at the bottom of the inner spool. Leave another 6' tail, and cut it off.
Take the two tails of line while holding the spool, and insert one into each grommet on the machine head. Align the line notches with the grommets, and press the spool into place. You should feel it click into place. Now, you want to tug on the line tails to pull them out of the notches. I have one final bit of advice, and you don't have to do it this time.just keep it in mind. The head will sometimes be stubborn in dispensing the line.
I find that occasionally putting a little graphite into the hole where tha spool fits onto the machine helps the line advance part work much smoother, and it keeps the head from sticking. Best regards, -W/D- Posted on Aug 14, 2009.

If the mower is over a couple years old, then I also recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank. When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, count the number of turns it takes to seat the jets from their original position. That way when you go to put the jets back in, you know how many turns they were in/out. Please do not forget to rate me, Thanks Good Luck, I hope this helped Posted on May 24, 2010.
Full choke on, push petrol bubble 5 times then pull starter cord., with luck it will kick in to life after a 20/30 secs put on half choke, run again for 30 secs the no ckoke. The main problem with Ryobi products is that they flood very very easly. So the more time you try and pump petrol into the carb the more it will flood.
If that happenes then choke off and switch off and then just pull starter cord for about 30 secs then switch on and it could start if not prime it again as above good luck Dec 24, 2011.
